As AI gets better, the job is less about doing every step yourself and more about knowing what to ask for, what good looks like, and when something feels off.

The "feels like a senior collaborator" framing skips over the part where Mythos still hands me four variants that ignore the spacing tokens I pinned in the brief. Senior collaborators read the constraints once; this thing needs them restated every prompt. Until that loop closes, it's a fast junior with good taste, not a peer.

Same vibe at our shop, the friction drops the moment the tool stops asking you to babysit every step. We swapped a custom LangGraph orchestrator for Mythos on our onboarding flow and went from 400 lines of glue code to about 60.

Ran a two-week trial with my team of 12, six on Mythos and six on our normal Copilot setup. The Mythos half shipped the auth refactor in 9 days versus 14, but the real difference was standups: they stopped reading off Jira tickets and actually talked about design tradeoffs because Mythos had already drafted the status notes. One engineer hated it and rolled back. The other five renewed.

We swapped Mythos in for our planning loop two weeks ago, 4-person team. Before, I was duct-taping Claude + a vector store + a janky scratchpad for context handoff between runs. Now the handoff just works and we cut about 6 hours a week of me babysitting prompts. The one rough edge is cost visibility, the dashboard lags by a day so I still keep a spreadsheet.

Same vibe on our end, the handoff feels less like delegation and more like pairing. We routed 47% of tier-1 tickets through it last quarter and the rejection rate from QA actually dropped two points versus our human-only baseline.

planning loops feel less like babysitting, more like pair programming

What's the latency on Mythos queries against a 50TB warehouse? Our Snowflake bill spikes whenever junior analysts get new toys.

Calling it "what it feels like" is the tell. Every vendor pitch I sit through buries the SLA and the rollback story under vibes, and Mythos is no different in the deck we got last quarter. Show me the audit log and the incident response time, or I'm not putting it in front of legal.

Sure, the demo flow looks clean, but I've been burned by these claims before. Last sprint Cursor saved me maybe 20 minutes a day, not the 4 hours my VP keeps quoting from some vendor deck.
