Welcome to Vibecoding

Andrej Karpathy coined the term in early 2025. Vibecoding is when you stop typing every character and start directing the model toward an outcome. It is not 'AI replaces the developer.' That framing ships broken code. Vibecoding is a partnership with three roles: 1. You set the direction. The intent, the constraints, the taste. 2. The model writes the draft. Fast, often imperfect. 3. You review and decide. What ships, what gets rewritten, what gets deleted. If any of these three roles collapses, the system breaks. Skip direction and the AI invents the wrong thing. Skip writing and you are just typing, no leverage. Skip review and you get bugs in production with confident hallucinations. The weXare thesis: AI does not replace you. It multiplies you. If your review discipline is strong, AI gives you 10x output. If your review discipline is weak, AI gives you 10x bug count. The discipline is the leverage point, not the model. This course is the discipline. We will cover: - The mindset shift: from typist to editor - Choosing the right tool (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) - Giving the model the context it needs - Prompt patterns that actually work for code - The non-negotiable review loop - Debugging with AI as pair - When NOT to use AI - Agentic coding in 2026 - The five failure modes - Real cases from teams shipping software with AI today Audience: you write code for a living, you have used Copilot or ChatGPT, but you suspect you are not getting full value yet. By the end, you will have a working practice, not a vibe. Time: ~70 minutes across 10 lessons. Each lesson has a worked example and a quick exercise. Take notes. The patterns compound.
