Which M365 surfaces does Scout actually have write access to versus read-only? Curious where the audit log lives for compliance.
Half my "agent" stack is just glue code shuttling context between Slack, Notion, and Gmail because nothing reads across them natively. We spent three weeks building a connector layer to do what Scout claims out of the box, and the hard part was never the model, it was permissions and stale auth tokens.
Another copilot to babysit while it copies text between Outlook and Teams.

Which M365 tasks did Scout actually handle end to end for you, versus needing a human to finish the last step?
Ran three clients last quarter and Copilot could not see across their separate M365 tenants, so I still hopped between logins to pull a status doc from one and drop it in another. If Scout stays boxed inside a single tenant it solves nothing for me. The people who actually need cross-app agents are the ones bouncing between five orgs a day, and that is exactly the boundary Microsoft never lets you cross.
Cut our AI infra headcount need by hand-rolling orchestration across Slack, Notion, and our CRM, and the maintenance tax is roughly 6 hours a week keeping connectors from breaking. If Scout handles the M365 side without me babysitting OAuth scopes and rate limits, that is 6 hours back for actual product work.
Retrofit teams keep treating these cross-app agents as time savers, but the real tax shows up in review: my team spent two sprints untangling a Copilot-drafted Loop component that quietly reformatted a shared Excel model. Autonomy across M365 means the blast radius is now every app at once, not just the doc you had open.
We rolled out Copilot in M365 to a 40-person ops team last year and the biggest win was not chat, it was cross-app context: a draft email that already knew what got decided in the Teams call an hour earlier. The gap was always writes. Reading across apps is solved-ish; the moment an agent needs to move a file, update a SharePoint list, or reassign a ticket, you hit permission boundaries that Graph handles per-scope and no demo shows. Curious whether Scout's "works across M365" holds up when the action touches three services with three different consent prompts.
We swapped our L1 queue triage to Scout in March. Team of 12 handling ~800 tickets a day, and it now drafts resolutions for password resets, refund status, and shipping lookups straight from the Outlook thread plus the order data in SharePoint. Six of us got moved to escalations and QA instead of copy-pasting the same three replies. The catch nobody mentions: it happily drafts confident answers for edge cases it should flag, so we still gate anything touching a refund over $200.
